Questions

What are credits?

Credits are how Yarnable counts stories — some people call them tokens. A short story is 6 credits, a medium is 10, and a long is 16. Adding a reference photo costs 2 extra, and each edit costs 1. Paid plans grant a fresh lot each billing cycle; unused credits do not roll over.

When do credits reset?

Unused credits do not roll over. On a monthly plan they expire at the end of that billing period — the date your App Store or Google Play subscription renews, not the 1st of the calendar month. On an annual plan you get the same monthly allowance as a drip each month of the year; leftover from one drip expires before the next. Leftover Family trial credits expire when the trial ends.

Which languages does Yarnable support?

The app and the stories you create are available in English (UK), English (US), Català, Español, Nederlands, Français, Deutsch. Choose a language in the app (Settings) or on the website (Account).

Are our stories private?

Yes. Stories stay in your account. There is no public library, and we do not share another family’s book. Yarnable is for parents and guardians — children do not create accounts. The full privacy policy explains what we collect and why.

Do you keep our photos and story art?

Illustration and reference-photo generation uses providers with zero-data-retention — they do not keep those images after the request, and they do not train on them. An optional reference photo is also deleted from Yarnable after 24 hours. Narration and optional custom voices go to ElevenLabs, which does not offer zero-data-retention for that audio. We do not train our own models on your stories. The privacy policy has the full picture.

Where do I make and listen to stories?

Create, Library, and the player live in the Yarnable iPhone and Android app. This website is for your account, plan, and support — there is no web library.

How do plans and billing work?

Paid plans are billed through the App Store or Google Play, not this website. Compare or change plans in the Yarnable app. To cancel or change a subscription, use your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.

Can I send a story to a Yoto player?

Yes, on Family and Family+. Connect Yoto once in the app or on Account, then send a published story to a Make Your Own card. Basic does not include Yoto.

How do I delete my account?

Use Delete account in the app (Settings) or on the website (Account). Deletion is immediate and permanently removes your stories. Cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple ID settings so Apple does not keep charging you.
